Bernard Arnault, Jeff Bezos and Mark Zuckerberg and More Attend Trump’s Inauguration

When Donald Trump was inaugurated as the 47th President of the United States on Monday morning, he did so surrounded by a who’s who of some of the world’s most powerful executives.

The attendees at the ceremony — which was forced to downsize and move indoors to rotunda of the US Capitol due to freezing temperatures in Washington, D.C. — included LVMH chief executive Bernard Arnault as well as two of his children, Dior CEO Delphine Arnault and Alexandre Arnault, deputy CEO of LVMH’s wine and spirits division.

Several major American tech executives were present, including X and Tesla CEO Elon Musk, who was a vocal supporter of Trump during his campaign; Meta chief executive Mark Zuckerburg, Apple CEO Tim Cook and Sundar Pichai, the CEO of Google parent Alphabet and Amazon founder Jeff Bezos. Shou Zi Chew, the CEO of TikTok, was also present — the app, which faced a ban over the weekend, went down for about 12 hours in the US before being revived, with a message to users thanking Trump for his role in restoring its service.

Podcaster Joe Rogan was also in attendance — Trump made an appearance on his popular show, “The Joe Rogan Experience,” while campaigning. Other famous faces included country singer Carrie Underwood, who sang a rendition of “America the Beautiful.”

First Lady Melania Trump wore a custom black coat dress from American designer Adam Lippes. The look was a shift from the previous Trump administration, where American designers seldom created custom looks for the First Lady, who typically dressed in European labels. Her inaugural look is potentially a signal that the industry will engage more closely with the Trump administration the second time around.

Meanwhile, the outgoing President and First Lady Joe and Jill Biden both wore Ralph Lauren, and first daughter Ivanka Trump carried a dark green Lady Dior bag for the day.
