According to reports, the city of Balneário Camboriú in Brazil has approved plans for a residential tower that developers claim will be the world’s tallest – standing over 500 meters high.

If completed, the tower’s height will qualify it as a supertall skyscraper, a designation for buildings that exceed 300 meters.
